What is CDP (Customer Data Platform)?

A Customer Data Platform (CDP) is software that collects, unifies, and activates customer data from multiple touchpoints — website, app, CRM, support tickets, messaging — into a single, persistent customer profile.

CDPs differ from CRMs (which focus on sales interactions) and DMPs (which handle anonymous advertising data). A CDP creates a 360-degree customer view that enables personalised messaging, segmentation, and journey orchestration.

InboxCentral syncs conversation history and customer attributes with popular CDPs and CRMs, enabling agents and bots to access unified profiles during conversations.
